The Family Impact Work Policy was created to assist team members in prioritizing family while continuing to cultivate our culture of a results-driven work environment.

To establish and clearly define our position and expectations, we’ve created two focus areas within the Family Impact Work Policy: Family Impact Flexibility and Work from Anywhere (WFA).

Family Impact Flexibility
Time off as personal needs arise including children’s sporting events, family doctor visits, or other significant family happenings.

Work From Anywhere (WFA)
A trial benefit that allows team members the flexibility to work from an alternative location for a certain number of days every month. The WFA policy has been tailored to the three different work environments at Thompson Thrift: TTC Field Team Members, Community Management Field Team Members, and Corporate Office Team Members. Please review this enhanced benefit in it's entirety below.

Thompson Thrift is excited to partner with Shipt grocery and goods delivery service provider. You can choose from produce, electronics, household items, and more and have it delivered at your convenience. Shipt saves the average household 2 hours a week at the store to add time back with your family and loved ones.

Shipt can deliver in as little as one-hour, same day, or be scheduled for a future delivery date. You can use this service to ship to your home address, vacation VRBO, loved ones needing supplies, and more. Shipt offers a customized personal shopper to ensure the accuracy of your order and an excellent, virtual shopping experience.

Additional Benefits

Thompson Thrift utilizes a program of Paid Time Off (PTO), as an all-purpose time off policy for eligible team members to use for vacation, illness, injury, or personal business. It combines traditional vacation, sick and personal leave plans into one flexible, paid time off policy designed to offer flexibility in planning for and taking time off.

Team members may be provided paid time off for making final arrangements, bereavement and/or attending the funeral or memorial service of a family member. We understand that every circumstance is different and will be considered individually. Any time requested outside of these guidelines will be determined between the team member, Human Resources, and their supervisor.

Military Leave is any time off that is provided to team members who are members of the National Guard or other reserve component of the United States Armed Services and who are called to active duty, attend scheduled reserve service, and/or temporary training duty.

New parent leave encompasses maternity and paternity leave benefits.

New mothers receive 12-weeks of maternity leave after the birth of a child. New mothers who adopt a child under the age of two receive 12-weeks of maternity leave after the birth/adoption of the young child. Once notified, Human Resources will enter and track the time-off request.

New fathers receive 1-week of paid paternity leave. This leave is entered into ADP by the team member as a time off request, indicating paternity.

Each team member will receive 1 week (40 hrs.) of paid time. These hours can be taken in a lump sum or broken up. There is a maximum of 2-weeks (80 hrs.) benefit per year.

Thompson Thrift also offers Adoption Assistance. Team members who complete the adoption process will receive a one-time $5,000 taxable bonus.
