Corporate Chaplains of America
Effective September 25, 2023
Thompson Thrift is excited to announce a new, enhanced benefit to the Family Impact Benefits Program, Corporate Chaplains of America. We are committed to providing resources for our team members and their families to assist in navigating through life’s challenges. Corporate Chaplains will act as a care coach, caring for you and your family in times of need.
- Chaplain services is available 24/7, at no cost, to our team members or their families.
- An in-person Chaplain will be available on a regular basis at most Thompson Thrift corporate offices starting this fall.
- Any team member can access the Chaplain service via text, email, or phone.
- A Chaplain visit is confidential and voluntary and available for scheduled one-on-one sessions. They are not therapists but can be a safe place to process stress management, marriage and parenting issues, and personal crises.
- Chaplains are available for hospital visits and any crisis situation.
HOW TO UTILIZE THE CHAPLAIN SERVICES:
Chaplains will establish a regular schedule for their visits to the corporate offices. In addition, you can reach your chaplain via email or phone and arrange a time to talk by phone or in-person.

Marathon Health provides unmatched access to employer-sponsored healthcare. Marathon health provides high-quality care that is complimentary, convenient and confidential.
Marathon Health services include preventive care, acute (sick) care, chronic condition management, health coaching, behavioral health, medications and labs.
The Marathon Health Network provides our team members access to seven health centers in and around the Indianapolis area. Appointments can be made in-person, telephonic or virtually through the health centers (available to Indianapolis and Terre Haute team members).
Marathon Health Anywhere is a virtual care option with a dedicated care team. Marathon’s industry-leading digital tools allow for a better patient experience and increased access to medical professionals. With an emphasis on Concierge Care Services, Marathon Health Anywhere caters to team members and their families whatever their health needs might be (excludes Indianapolis team members).

Medical Coverage
Thompson Thrift’s medical plans are designed with a focus on wellness, preventive care and choice. Members now have the opportunity to choose from three medical plan options: The Anthem Traditional PPO Plan and two High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP)/Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
All plans are administered by Anthem and Prescription coverage administered by IngenioRX.

Our comprehensive Employee Assistance Program, through Uprise Health, is not only for employees who need assistance with work-related or personal issues. Resources are also available for supervisors and managers who need assistance communicating with employees, developing organizational polices, implementing HR best practices, or accessing tips and strategies on a variety of management topics. In addition, semi-annual utilization reports provide an overview of what services are being utilized by your staff.
EAP assists team members and their eligible dependents with personal or job-related concerns including emotional wellbeing, family and relationships, legal and financial matters, healthy lifestyles, work and life transitions.

Our comprehensive Employee Assistance Program, available through Uprise Health, provides you and your family members with confidential, personal and online/web-based support on a wide variety of important and relevant topics — such as stress management, dependent/elder care, nutrition, fitness, and legal and financial issues.
If you’re enrolling in our High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), you are eligible to open a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for expenses on a pre-tax basis, such as eligible medical, dental and/or vision expenses.
- Must be enrolled in the HDHP Plan.
- Get free money from Thompson Thrift: The company will match up to $30 per pay with an annual maximum employer contribution of $780 for Health Savings Accounts setup through HSA.umb.com.
- It’s flexible: Use your HSA in 2023 or save it for later. You decide when to save and when to spend. You can even save for health care expenses after you retire.
- No use it or lose it rule: The money in your HSA belongs to you. It rolls over each year, and you can take it with you if you ever leave the company.
- Triple tax-advantaged: Applies to federal and most state taxes.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) allow you to set aside money from your paycheck to pay Health Care and Dependent Care expenses with tax-free dollars. When you contribute to FSAs, your pre-tax contributions reduce your taxable income. Thompson Thrift offers a flexible spending account (FSA) through BRi. (Note: If you are covered by a High Deductible Health Plan, you are not eligible to contribute to a General Purpose FSA account.)
- Save money: Allows you to put aside money tax-free that can be used for qualified medical expenses.
- Tax-saver: Since your taxable income is decreased by your contributions, you’ll pay less in taxes.
- Use it of lose it: You can carry over $500 to the next year. The rest is forfeited.
- Flexible: You can use your healthcare FSA funds at any time, even if its the beginning of the year. For the dependent care FSA, funds must be deposited before you can use them.

Dental
Thompson Thrift offers dental coverage through Delta Dental. You can choose to elect or decline coverage for you and your family.
Vision
You and your dependents have access to vision coverage through Guardian—VSP Network Signature Plan. You can choose to elect or decline coverage for you and your family.
Income Protection
Thompson Thrift provides each Team Member with $50,000 of basic life insurance coverage at no cost to you. Benefits do reduce starting at age 65.
You may also elect additional life insurance coverage for yourself and your family.
Thompson Thrift provides you the opportunity to purchase voluntary critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident insurance through Guardian. These benefits are designed to help Team Members offset the financial effects of a catastrophic illness or accident with a lump sum benefit paid directly to you to use as you wish.
You may choose to enroll your spouse and/or children for 50% of your election. There is a Guarantee Issue of $25,000 for Team Members and $12,500 for your Spouse.
Short-term disability (STD) provides income protection in the event you are unable to work for a short period of time due to a covered injury or illness. Thompson Thrift provides this coverage at no cost to benefit eligible team members.
Long-term disability (LTD) provides income protection in the event you are unable to work for an extended period of time due to a covered injury or illness. Thompson Thrift provides this coverage at no cost to benefit eligible team members.
Critical Illness Insurance pays a benefit if you are diagnosed with a serious illness covered by the plan. The benefit is paid to you and can be used to pay medical costs or living expenses such as child care or mortgage payments.
Helps cover the cost of emergency medical care, physical therapy and other unexpected expenses that result from accidental injury.
Hospital Indemnity Insurance pays a benefit if you are admitted to a hospital, whether or not these charges are covered by your medical plan. Benefit payments are sent directly to you and can be used for any purpose—from covering medical copays and deductibles to paying for everyday expenses such as the mortgage, groceries and utilities.
